HG were appointed to carry out the mechanical and electrical design for the refurbishment scheme of this 690 bed student accommodation building.
The scheme involved a full redevelopment of the existing domestic water system to facilitate the introduction of an Air Source Heat Pump installation to replace the existing electric only installation. Modular plantrooms were developed with full designs being provided by HG.
In addition full ventilation replacement designs were provided throughout the accommodation as well as the design of new amenity spaces.
Energy assessment and analysis was carried out by HG
